    • A half onion
    • Three cloves garlic

    • Two tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
    • One tablespoon of brown sugar
    • Two teaspoons of dried oregano
    • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • You will need to following ingredients for cabbage rolls
    • 15 cabbage leaves
    • One pound of ground beef
    • ¼ cup of uncooked white rice
    • ¼ cup of Italian breadcrumbs
    • Half onion
    • Two tablespoons of parsley
    • Freshly ground black pepper


  • Follow the steps for making the sauce
    • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
    • Heat oil in a large deep skillet over medium temperature
    • Add onion and cook for five minutes
    • Stir in garlic and tomato paste and cook for another one minute
    • Add sugar, vinegar, and oregano
    • Lower the heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes
