How to make Zaatar Manakeesh

Ingredients
- One tablespoon of yeast
- One cup of warm water
- One teaspoon of salt
- One teaspoon of sugar
- Three cups of flour
- Two tablespoons of olive oil
- 1/3 cup of zaatar
- ¼ cup of olive oil
Instructions
- Use warm water for yeast activation in a medium or large-size bowl
- Add sugar, salt, and olive oil to the bowl
- Use a wooden spoon to combine these ingredients
- Add the flour into the ingredients after a few minutes
- Use the spoon to make the dough
- Transfer the dough to the floured surface
- Now knead the dough to form a tight ball
- Now transfer the dough into the bowl
- Make sure to coat the bowl with oil
- Cover the dough with a plastic towel or wrap
- Set aside the bowl for at least 60 minutes
- Mix the zaatar with olive oil to make a spreadable mixture
- Preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit
- Dive the kneaded dough into eight equal parts
- Create round flat discs and ensure it has ½ inch thickness
- Apply one to two tablespoons of zaatar to each dough
- Make sure you spread the zaatar evenly
- Bake it for 10-15 minutes and ensure the dough is lightly golden
- Enjoy warm with vegetables and cheese
