How to Make Bulgur Pilaf

Ingredients
- 1 cup bulgur
- One onion (peeled and chopped)
- One tomato (cut into squares)
- 1 tsp tomato paste
- One bell pepper (diced)
- 100 grams of snow peas (washed and cut)
- Two tablespoons of olive oil or vegetable oil
- Two cups of vegetable broth or water, hot
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat the fat over medium heat in a saucepan and fry the onion for 2-3 minutes
- Add the chopped tomato and tomato paste and sauté them for 2-3 minutes, along with the onion
- Next, add the pepper and mange tout and sauté them for 2-3 minutes
- Add the bulgur and cook it for 2 minutes, without stopping moving it
- Add the broth and continue heating the pan until the liquid starts to boil
- Lower the heat, cover the pan, and let the bulgur simmer until tender and all the water has been absorbed, about 20 minutes
- Let the bulgur pilaf rest for 10-15 minutes without uncovering the pan
- Before serving, fluff it with a wooden spoon.
