Ingredients
- Two cups of dried chickpeas
- One cup of chopped onion
- Two cups of chopped parsley
- Two cups of cilantro
- Two green chili peppers
- Six clove garlic
- Two teaspoons of cumin
- Two teaspoons of salt
- One teaspoon of cardamon
- ½ teaspoon of black pepper
- Four tablespoons of chickpea flour
- One teaspoon of baking soda
- Avocado Oil
Instructions
- Soak the dried chickpeas in the water overnight.
- Drain and rinse the chickpeas
- Add chickpeas to the food processor
- Put the onion, pepper, cilantro, parsley, salt, cumin, and cardamom
- Blend these ingredients to ensure the mixture has a texture of coarse sand
- Add the Falafel mixture to the bowl
- Put the baking soda and chickpea flour into the bowl
- Stir the mixture together and add a lid to the bowl
- Place the mixture in the fridge for 40-60 minutes
- Make Falafel balls or patties using your hands or an ice scoop
- Add some lemon juice or water if the balls are too dry
- Deep fry the ball in about three inches of oil on a medium heat
- Cook the balls in batches
- Ensure the balls are golden brown
- Serve the balls warm and crispy to your friends and family with tahini sauce
